Following a successful pitch at the Kantar Media office in London, BML were proudly appointed as the creative team for the World Audiences Summit 2013. The annual three-day summit is one of the most prestigious gatherings of audience research professionals in the world and covers all aspects of audience measurement and trends within the media industry.
Centred around the theme of ‘Connection’, our role was to develop a central brand identity for the 2013 Summit and apply this to a huge range of creative outputs. Working in-line with the Kantar Media brand guidelines and building on styles from previous years, our response to the ‘Connection’ brief utilised a series of multi-coloured, naturally-interlocking hexagons, drawn together around a central logotype. This created a powerful feeling of movement and energy that really summed up the dynamic nature of the event.
Creative applications included everything from personalised menus and a branded catamaran, to a 22m wide stage set, a 90-page handbook and a custom-built iPad application.
Barcelona was the chosen location for the 2013 summit and the brief also included a need to reference the city in the design work. Our response was a series of innovative graphic illustrations created entirely from hexagons, featuring several of Gaudi’s magnificent architectural works from around Barcelona.
The summit has recently been shortlisted for Best Live Event (External) in the 2013 CorpComms Awards where BML have been recognised as an official partner.
