BML were selected by NHS Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust to develop a new campaign identity for their ‘Your Medicines, Your Health’ initiative.
The aim of the campaign is to encourage all patients to bring their current medication with them into any appointments at the hospital. Not only does this help improve patient safety and efficiency during admission and discharge, but it also saves wasting valuable medicine – with unused prescription medicines costing the NHS over £300 million every year.
We wanted to make the campaign message as simple as possible, so we developed a series of strong graphic illustrations featuring hands carrying a variety of different medicines. This is supported by a strong call to action headline which aims to drum home the message to the audience.
As well as campaign strategy and planning, creative outputs included creative brand development, bus adverting, posters, roller banners, pharmacy dispensing bags, leaflets, screen savers, web banners, adhesive vinyls for ambulances and a fully responsive content-managed website. We have recently added a bespoke animation created in Adobe After Effects to reinforce the campaign message across digital and social media.
The campaign for NHS Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust won the prestigious ‘Best Social Marketing Campaign‘ at the ‘Association for Healthcare Communication & Marketing Awards 2015‘ (AHCM).
The nationally recognised AHCM awards celebrate the very in healthcare communications, public engagement and marketing for the NHS. As well as winning its category, the also picked up a Highly Commended in the ‘Jonathon Street Award‘ which celebrates the best work across all categories.
