The University of London Foundation Day is the annual celebration of the grant by William IV of the University’s first charter on 28 November 1836. As a mark of tradition, Honorary degrees are approved by the Collegiate Council, part of the University’s governance structure. They are presented to the recipients by the University’s Chancellor, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal at a ceremony in Senate House. BML designed the supporting material for the annual event, including invitations and event programme.
Past, Present & Future is the title for the first ever University of London corporate brochure. BML were commissioned to design the prestigious publication which features an overview of the institutions past and future plans. The layout balances the tradition of the organisation with modernity. Striking angled ‘slashes’ break the mould of what had gone before. The final brochure was printed on a 100% recycled smooth offset, with a silver foil applied to the cover text for an additional touch of prestige.
