The festivities have been and gone. The new year is in full swing but taking some time out to reflect on what you have accomplished is a good way to get you ready for the next year.

We present you with our 2018 highlights.

Industry trends

We like to keep our ears to the ground and remain up-to-date with industry trends. Earlier in 2018, we visited Leeds Beckett University for the Visual Media Conference (VMC) to engage with intelligent technologies that are being commercialised. The 2018 VMC delved deeper into Virtual Reality (VR), Immersive and Holography to show how they can enhance customer experiences.

Paula Scher at Sheffield Hallam, SearchLeeds and Leeds Digital Festival are a few other events we attended this year; all with very insightful and inspiring talks.

Project Launches

We’ve worked in close partnership with some brilliant teams this year, launching some exciting brands – with a special focus on the industrial manufacturing and engineering sector.

Sewtec Automation approached us when a visionary new management team took the reins. The rebrand has taken them to new heights and they are way ahead of their target of doubling company turnover to £32m within 5 years.

We continued to develop the Canvasman identity so they can better engage with their audience. Helping them to become the UK’s leading supplier of bespoke canvas products – with 25% year-on-year growth.

We have worked with Safe & Vault Company for many years but 2018 has been a key year for growth and development. After undertaking a brand strategy workshop with us, they took the plunge and launched a range of sub-brands for ATM Safe, Kirkstall Safes and Opulent Safes. This was a huge step but with such a varied range of products and services, it was the next logical step in their story. They now have the tools they need to reach local individuals looking for premium safe solutions and International banks in need of innovative ATM and asset protection.

Creative Community

Alongside a community of creative agencies, “All in. Leeds was formed”. The campaign was inspired by the city’s bid to be the new home of Channel 4 to encourage creative businesses to sign up to a manifesto to help shape the future of the sector through; education, community talent and diversity, business and creativity.

Channel 4 announced Leeds as the selection for the new National HQ in October, 2018. Hooray!

Cherry on the cake

There are a few other things that we couldn’t miss out of our 2018 highlights. From a design featuring in the Fedrigoni Calendar to collaborating with North Bar to raise a whopping £30k for St. Gemma’s Hospice.

We hope that your year was as good as ours and that 2019 will be even better.
